Sony India announced the launch of the much-anticipated PLAYSTATION®3 (PS3™) computer entertainment system, the groundbreaking next generation computer entertainment system, for sale in India.
In addition to the PS3™ hardware, a software line up of over 12 first- and third-party titles will be available nationwide. The PS3 is equipped with Cell Broadband Engine, it enables massive floating point calculation, Blu-ray Disc drive, as well as 40GB hard disk drive, built in Wi–Fi adapter and multiple memory card slots.
The PS3’s new SIXAXIS wireless controller allows gamers to physically turn, twist, and bank their controllers to command the on–screen action. The PlayStation 3 also comes equipped with an HDMI output. The built–in network allows users to enjoy play games online.
Music: Enjoy all your CDs as well as saved/downloaded audio files in many popular formats. Supported audio formats are ATRAC (.oma / .msa. / .aa3), AAC (.3gp / .mp4), MP3 (.mp3), WAV (.wav). Photos: View photos on your PLAYSTATION®3, chose from a variety of slideshow options and file formats. Supported Image file formats are JPEG, GIF, PNG, TIFF, BMP. Internet: PLAYSTATION®3 system is ready to be connected to the Internet straight away. Once online, you can browse web pages as you would on a PC from your living room.
